Create A Fake File and Protect Pen Drive from Viruses.

The protection of pen drive from viruses, trojans etc. is a matter of utmost importance as they carry a lot of useful stuff in a small space. But if you are using your pen drive on public computers there are high chances that you can caught by viruses. So what will you do?
Well the basic concept that why virus attack the pen drives is that they contain some amount of free space which makes the virus to attck and copy itself in the drive and harm the executable files. So we are going to use only this concept, that is, we will fill up all the space with a fake file. To do this, you have to use a command known as fsutil.

FOR WINDOWS XP USERS

1) Know the free space of your pen drive by right clicking pen drive --> properties.

2) The highlighted rectangle is your free space.

3) Then open the command prompt and write the following code
fsutil file createnew O:\Fake 2609176576.
(NOTE: You must change the drive letter and space according to you)

4) The file will be created and you will see the following in the command prompt.

5) After the file is created again check the free space. It will appear like this

N.B :- Note that there are some limitations to this trick.
You can't delete anything from your pen drive after you have applied this trick as deleting some files from the pen drive would vacant some space,as a result viruses can attack your pen drive again.
Keeping it in mind you can use your pen drive in any computer.
